We seem to all be suffering a common problem these days, WHERE DID OUR LIVES GO? Our brains seem to still be 18, but our bodies are talking a different language. Sarah Orne Jewett puts it much more eloquently than do I:

“Neither of my companions was troubled by her burden of years. I hoped in my heart that I might be like them as I lived on into age, and then smiled to think that I too was no longer very young. So we always keep the same hearts, though our outer framework fails and shows the touch of time.”

DEATHS IN OUR COMMUNITY & one bright note

I am sorry to report that Frank Rodman died yesterday. There will not be an obituary at Frank's request, gone and in the ground was his wish according to Jim Day. Frank was well-known to many of our classmates as the owner of the Geyer Inn on Geyer Road right across from Kirkwood Park as well as the notorious restaurant The Fireplace. Some of you may remember we had one of our Christmas parties at The Fireplace in the late 80s if memory serves. The Geyer Inn is notorious just for being The Geyer Inn! Their beer kegs watered us at several KHS65 reunion picnics, but I KNOW there are many more interesting stories resting in that bar! Thank you Jim Day for telling me about Frank's passing. THERE WILL BE A PARTY TO REMEMER FRANK ON SATURDAY, 9/11 FROM 2:00 PM AT THE FIREPLACE RESTAURANT.

Also I have learned that the father of Cathy Graf Leonard (Bob Leonard's wife who is also a KHS alum) has recently passed away as well as the mother of Rich Rychlewski. You can see those obits on www.stltoday.com. Our sincerest condolences to the families of our classmates.

On a bright note I just learned that the DVDs of all 4 of The Beatles Ed Sullivan Show appearances are on the market starting today! I want 'em all!!!

All of the Reunion Pictures are now posted at www.khs65.com - if anyone has any more to send I'm happy to get them.
