We seem to all be suffering a common problem these days, WHERE DID OUR LIVES GO? Our brains seem to still be 18, but our bodies are talking a different language. Sarah Orne Jewett puts it much more eloquently than do I:

“Neither of my companions was troubled by her burden of years. I hoped in my heart that I might be like them as I lived on into age, and then smiled to think that I too was no longer very young. So we always keep the same hearts, though our outer framework fails and shows the touch of time.”

GET YOUR KICKS.....right here in River City...

We St. Louis area folks are in for a treat courtesy of MO History Museum and KHS65 classmate Susan Croce Kelly come July 31 and August first.  POLITICS AND PAVEMENT:  THE UNLIKELY BIRTH AND INCREDIBLE LEGACY OF US HIGHWAY 66... Susan is an expert on this subject, just google her name in connection with Route 66 and you'll see...She will be giving the lecture named above at the MO History Museum in Forest Park, free parking, great place for a day's outing at 1pm on 7/31 and 10:30am on 8/1.  Let's have a nice group of her pals there to hear her presentation and applaud loudly for her!  The program is free and open to the public.
